Loïc Kernen,
Automotive Photographer
Cars have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. What began as a fascination with automotive design and mechanics gradually turned into a camera in hand, chasing the light on a track, in a garage or along a mountain road — and by 2013, automotive photography had become my full-time work.
Since then I've photographed classic Ferraris, air-cooled Porsches and modern supercars for auction houses and private collectors, covered Formula 1 paddocks and historic rallies, and documented concours d'élégance from Monaco to the Mille Miglia — building a body of work that now spans clients and collections across the French Riviera, Europe and beyond.
I work almost exclusively with natural light, shoot tethered on set with Capture One Pro, and handle all of my own retouching — so every image that reaches a client has passed through my eye from first frame to final file. My work has appeared in Sport-Auto, Octane and the Taschen automotive archives, alongside collaborations with RM Sotheby's, Artcurial and Ford.
In 2024 I co-founded WheelsOnWalls, a fine art gallery bringing together automotive photographers from around the world to print and frame our favourite images by hand. Whether it's a private collection, a commercial campaign or a story worth telling, I'd love to hear about your car — get in touch.
